About Balanced Health Therapy
Balanced Health Therapy, owned and operated by Corliss Robertson, a Registered Massage Therapist and Advanced Frequency Specific Microcurrent practitioner, offers orthopedic assessment, therapeutic and deep tissue massage, myofascial cupping, FAKTR (soft-tissue instrument technique), Kinesio Taping, and Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM). Robertson graduated with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy, is a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta, and serves as an instructor in a massage therapy diploma program; she has additional training in Graston and Myofascial Release. Orthopedic assessments evaluate posture, gait, range of motion, and neurological function to guide treatment planning. FSM introduces mild electrical pulses to damaged tissue to reduce inflammation, dissolve scar tissue, and accelerate healing by increasing cellular ATP production; the clinic notes it is effective for conditions ranging from tendinopathy and joint pain to post-surgical recovery and neuropathies. Massage therapy services address acute and chronic conditions, with stated benefits including pain reduction, improved circulation and joint mobility, and muscular tension relief. FAKTR treats musculoskeletal disorders including tendinopathy, sprains, strains, plantar fasciitis, and adhesive capsulitis. Kinesio Taping provides rehabilitative support and stability without restricting range of motion. Most FSM treatments are covered by insurance.
