This is how clinic software usually works. Your client records, SOAP notes, and schedule all live inside the platform, so leaving gets expensive in time even when it's free in dollars. Then the price moves. We made a different call: the rate is locked at signup and it does not go up later. That's not an introductory offer, it's the deal.

Practice ($59) adds reminders, premium SOAP notes, and intake forms, which is what a full-time solo practice actually needs. Clinic ($99) adds unlimited staff seats and room assignment. No per-practitioner fees. No appointment caps.
What you'd actually pay
Hivemanager.io is $35 in your own currency, $35 CAD in Canada and $35 USD in the US. MassageBook bills everyone in USD. So for an American the comparison is simply $35 against $59. At the entry tier MassageBook is genuinely cheaper, and we'll say so. But the moment you need reminders and intake forms, which is most working therapists, their 2026 Practice price puts them well above us. At eight therapists their flat per-account model catches back up.

Two honest notes on this table. First, MassageBook's Transition plan is genuinely cheaper than us for a brand-new or part-time practice, as long as you don't need automated reminders or intake forms. If you do, Practice is now $59 USD against our $35, and the gap is real. Second, at eight therapists their flat per-account pricing catches up with our per-practitioner model, and in the US it passes us. At that size the question stops being price and starts being whether the reporting, multi-location handling, and reminder reliability hold up. That's the comparison we'd rather have anyway.

Reliability issues that cost you bookings
Some long-term MassageBook reviewers report reliability issues, reminders that don't send and appointments that appear or disappear from the calendar, including bugs left unresolved for months. It's not every user's experience, but a missed booking costs you the client, not just the revenue.
A dated interface
MassageBook's UI hasn't kept pace with where client expectations are today. Clients and therapists both notice. A booking experience that feels old reflects on your practice.
Thin reporting
Understanding your business, revenue per therapist, rebooking rate, package redemption, requires decent reporting. MassageBook's reporting is functional but limited, making it harder to make informed decisions as you grow.
The real difference

But price is the smaller half of this. Hivemanager.io wasn't built by a software company that surveyed the massage industry. It was built by people running a four-location massage clinic who got tired of stitching together tools that weren't made for the work. Every feature came out of an operational problem we hit ourselves: reminders that had to actually send, reporting that showed therapist utilization and rebooking rates without exporting to a spreadsheet, a booking experience clients didn't complain about.
That's also why the price doesn't move. We're not running a playbook where the number goes up once you're locked in. We've had to sign that invoice ourselves.
