Essence Therapy is a multidisciplinary wellness clinic in south Calgary offering massage therapy, acupuncture, manual osteopathy, and complementary recovery modalities. The clinic employs six registered massage therapists—Eden (director, with over 10 years in healthcare), Anji (MaKami College advanced graduate), Jayson (advanced diploma holder), Jazz (RMT and manual osteopathic therapist), Jenifer, and Unuruu (MaKami College graduate)—alongside Dr. Jonathan Yu, a doctor of acupuncture accredited by the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta and trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine. Services include deep tissue, relaxation, therapeutic, prenatal, sports recovery, and kids massage; acupuncture combining Eastern and Western approaches; manual osteopathy for structural realignment and pain relief; Thai restorative massage; motor vehicle accident recovery treatment (with direct insurance billing and Alberta motor vehicle insurance approval); specialized sessions for seniors and children with special needs; and emerging modalities including assisted stretch therapy, shockwave therapy, and PEMF mat therapy.
