About Piotr Gorecki Massage Therapy
Neurofunctional Integration Therapy is a soft tissue manipulation practice operated by Piotr Gorecki, a registered massage therapist trained in Poland and licensed in Alberta since 1994. The clinic offers Neuromuscular Specific Treatment (NST) and Neurofunctional Integration Therapy (NIT), approaches designed to balance the central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system by locating and releasing tissue spasms, realigning spinal structures, and restoring biomechanical function. Gorecki's practice draws on training in neuromuscular therapy, the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration method, and additional seminars in somatic education, craniosacral work, and other techniques, which he integrates into treatment as needed. The clinic treats a broad range of conditions including spinal, cranial, and headache disorders; neck and back injuries; joint and arthritis conditions; sporting and accident injuries; respiratory conditions; and stress-related complaints. Treatment emphasizes identifying underlying causes of pain—ischemia, trigger points, nerve compression, postural distortion, and biomechanical dysfunction—and uses gentle manipulation to allow muscles and ligaments to relax, restore alignment, and rebuild strength while supporting circulation. Sessions aim to activate the body's natural regulatory systems and restore homeostatic balance disrupted by physical trauma, strain, or emotional stress.
