About Tranquil Therapies
Tranquil Therapies offers massage treatment to clients seeking pain relief, improved range of motion, and relaxation. The clinic provides therapeutic massage (beginning with relaxation techniques and progressing to deeper muscle work), relaxation massage using Swedish strokes, fascia release and deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage (for the second trimester onward), hot stone massage, and TMJ massage. Specialty services include lymphatic drainage massage for fluid retention and swelling, sports massage for pre- and post-exercise recovery, infant massage instruction for parents, and chair massage performed fully clothed in 10–30 minute sessions. The clinic accommodates session lengths of 30–45 minutes through 90 minutes. Kimberley is a registered massage therapist who graduated from Grant MacEwan University's 2200-hour diploma program in 2011 and has completed further training in hot stone, TMJ, deep tissue fascia, acupressure, infant, and pregnancy massage. She uses an electric massage table with adjustable height and heating, as well as natural massage lotions and oils (Bon Vital brand); aromatherapy with lavender or mint is offered optionally at treatment conclusion. The clinic accepts debit, credit, and cash payments, and offers direct billing with select health benefits providers including Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, and plans on the Telus Health Portal.
