Alternative Touch Professional Center is a cooperative of independent registered massage therapists and holistic practitioners operating from a central location. Founded in 1998 by Denise Bechtloff, the clinic has evolved into a professional center housing ten therapists who each operate autonomously while sharing facilities. The team offers therapeutic massage styles encompassing sports, rehabilitation, relaxation, and pregnancy massage, along with deep tissue and specialized modalities including shockwave therapy, myofascial cupping, lymphatic drainage, and hot stone massage. Acupuncture services are available, grounded in traditional Chinese medicine and specializing in pain management and musculoskeletal conditions, including sports medicine acupuncture techniques. Holistic services include reflexology, Gua-sha, reiki, hot scalp treatments, ionic foot cleanse, and rapid neurofascial reset, while medical pedicure services address ingrown toenails, diabetic and elderly foot care, and toenail reconstruction. Practitioners include therapists with varied specializations: one with over fifteen years of massage experience supplemented by training in lymphatic drainage, myofascial cupping, TMJ work, and shockwave therapy; another who specializes in deep tissue and chronic injury recovery, offering hot stone and scalp treatments; a 2020 graduate with continuing education in TMJ, cupping, and shockwave therapy; and an experienced therapist with a nursing background who provides deep tissue work and foot care with seniors. The acupuncturist has completed supplemental training in sports medicine acupuncture. All therapists are registered and licensed, with direct billing available to numerous insurance providers.
