Got Your Back Therapeutic Massage Services is a home-based practice operated by Marie Holt, a registered massage therapist with over 30 years of experience. The clinic specializes in orthopedic and target massage—focused, medical-based treatments that address specific injuries and complaints rather than full-body spa massage. Services include orthopedic massage, deep tissue and Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, scar tissue mobilization, neuromuscular therapy, and corrective alignment techniques, with particular expertise in work-related injuries, motor vehicle accident injuries, back pain, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, TMJ dysfunction, tendonitis, post-operative care, and spinal issues. Holt completed a 2,250-hour training program through the London and Counties Society of Physiologists (London, England) and the Northern Institute of Massage (Alberta), later taught massage therapy at the latter institution, and served as a provincial examiner and board director for the ARMTS, the massage therapy college in Alberta. The practice aims at providing long-term relief and functional restoration in as few treatments as possible. Full-body relaxation massage is also offered for those preferring gentler therapy. Direct billing is available for numerous insurance providers. The clinic operates from a home setting in Stony Plain, Alberta, and clients should note that a small, elderly dog resides on premises but does not enter treatment rooms.
